Priors Estate community day

Tuesday 9 April
The Priors Estate, Bury St Edmunds
10.00 am – 2.00 pm

We have refreshed our community days for 2024 as we look to be more sustainable and continue our work with local charities.

If you have any old furniture that is in good condition, we would love to help you donate it to local charities. Please email our Engagement team at engagement@havebury.com, or you can call 0300 3300 900 and choose extension number 7316 when prompted to discuss this further.

At the community day, we are also looking to have a toy swap and clothing stand, so if you have any toys that your children have outgrown or clothing you no longer wear, please bring them along on the day.

Get rid of your rubbish

We will be providing a small skip for any items that can be disposed of. Please be mindful that this skip is to benefit your whole community, so we may need to limit the amount of items each person disposes of. Once it’s full, we won’t be able to take anymore.

Talk to our team

Our teams will be available to answer any queries or questions you have about your home or community. Our teams will also be going around litter picking – you can see the routes below and you are welcome to join them!

We will be based on Ashwell Road, in the green space in front of the playpark. You are welcome to join us litter picking along any of the above routes. We will make a start at 10.30 am, but please don’t worry if you can’t make it at this time, we will be here until 2 pm. The Rural Coffee Caravan will also join us, so you can grab a drink to enjoy the day.

Other activities on the day

We will also hold an Easter egg hunt for our younger residents around the estate and decorate Easter biscuits and colouring. The Priors Community Hub will organise a poster competition for children to discourage fly-tipping in your area.

Could you volunteer to help at the community day? Give our Engagement team a call on 0300 3300 900 and enter extension number 7316 when prompted or send an email to engagement@havebury.com
